Lake Garda and the waterways of Garda Trentino offer fishing enthusiasts a range of diverse environments: from the
largest lake in Italy to tiny bodies of water at the feet of the mountains, like Lake Ledro, and the River Sarca.
You can fish for many species here: trout, chub, whitefish, tench, brown trout, eel, barbel, pike, carp, and char...
To go fishing in Garda Trentino you need to have a valid Italian fishing licence or an equivalent provincial tourist fishing licence.
To fish in the rivers or smaller lakes, in addition to the fishing licence you also need a daily or weekly pass issued
by the Associazione Pescatori which is on sale in the tourist information offices in Riva del Garda, Arco, Torbole and Pieve di Ledro.
This permit is valid for the River Sarca (excluding the Limarò area), Albola, Rimone, Varone and Lakes Tenno, Cavedine,
Toblino and Santa Massenza.
